Tarvos Talent is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for an exciting contract opportunity in Georgetown. This role offers the chance to support a dynamic accounting team in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on accounts receivable and high-volume transactional work.
As the Accounting Specialist, you’ll play a key role in managing full-cycle accounts receivable processes, including monitoring incoming payments, maintaining and reconciling AR bank activity, posting subledger transactions, and identifying discrepancies for resolution. You’ll handle unique auto-debit processes, perform customer setup and credit analysis in Oracle, and manage daily tasks such as price adjustments and hold releases. Additionally, you’ll support accounts payable functions through high-volume invoice entry and assist with weekly payment processing, contributing to overall team efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on full-cycle AR experience along with exposure to basic AP functions. Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, are required, along with the ability to navigate less user-friendly systems like Oracle. Experience beyond QuickBooks is highly preferred, and all candidates must be able to pass both a background and credit check.
