Accounting Manager
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Salary: $80,000–$100,000
A growing, investor-backed manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the COO/CFO, this highly visible role will own the accounting function, oversee month-end close, provide financial analysis, and support strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Analyze COGS, inventory, profitability, and financial variances
- Manage A/R, A/P, payroll accounting, and cash flow reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Oversee sales tax filings and regulatory compliance
- Supervise one accounting team member
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- ERP implementation, public accounting, or M&A exposure is a plus
