4 plus years of Accounting Supervisor experience
Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a manufacturing company located in the Ann Arbor, MI area. This position is responsible for the administration of all corporate accounting activities. Leads, directs and supports subordinates in above mentioned area. Assists in the financial control department on any level as needed. Is a principle coordinator of month-end close activities. Ensure internal and external customers are serviced with a high level of quality.
Requirements of the Accounting Supervisor
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Four (4) plus years of position-related experience
- Supervisory experience; experience managing a staff remotely is a plus
- Shared services, General Ledger, Month-End close experience
- Budgeting experience is a plus, not required
- SAP experience is preferred
- Some international travel is expected
Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and direct the preparation of entries by subordinates as required.
- Analyze and report actual to budget/forecast variance analysis on a monthly basis.
- Complete account reconciliations as assigned and review/approve account reconciliations prepared by direct reports.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and quarter-end financial reporting requirements.
- Assist Controller and Finance Manager in any financial audits and other financial projects.
- Interpret operating results as they affect the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze accounting issues and provide feedback to team members.
- Supervise, train, assign tasks and mentor other general ledger accounting associates.
- Complete financial reports and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with company requirements.
