Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager | Kansas City, MO (Hybrid)

A company in Kansas City, Missouri is adding an Accounting Manager to help strengthen and modernize its corporate accounting systems. This is a newly created role with high visibility, focused on system optimization, project management, and cross‑functional partnership between accounting, finance, IT, and external vendors.

Duties:

• Lead accounting‑related system initiatives, including new implementations and enhancements to existing platforms
• Serve as the bridge between accounting, finance, IT, and third‑party vendors to ensure systems meet business needs
• Own project management activities such as requirements gathering, documentation, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, data integrity, and operational efficiency across accounting systems
• Support the standardization of accounting data to improve reporting, analytics, and visibility

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in corporate accounting systems
• Hands‑on experience with system implementations, enhancements, or large‑scale process improvements
• ERP and accounting technology experience required; expense management systems experience is a plus
