Accounting Manager

A growing, private‑equity‑backed environmental services company is looking for an Accounting Manager to partner closely with field operations, strengthen core accounting processes, and support sustainable solutions for municipal and industrial clients. Your insights will help teams in the field make better decisions, improve service delivery, and support long‑term infrastructure reliability.

What You’ll Lead

• Own and manage the general ledger with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and operational visibility.
• Maintain the integrity of accounting data across multiple business units and service lines.
• Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, building a collaborative and high‑performing team.
• Partner with operations, leadership, and auditors to ensure compliance and smooth audit cycles.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting tools.
• Stay informed on industry and regulatory changes impacting water and environmental services.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a mindset geared toward operational partnership.
• Proven experience managing general ledger functions and complex reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Blackline, or LeaseQuery is a major plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
