We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with internal controls and company policies. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, process improvement skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, month-end close, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
- Oversee payroll management, billing processes, cash management, and financial analysis
- Support audit activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance feedback
- Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Leverage systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls
- Experience with month-end and year-end close processes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, PowerBI, QuickBooks, SAP, SQL, Workday, or Python
The salary range for this position is $50.00 to $75.00 hr. Benefits available to contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
