Accounting Manager

The Opportunity:

A premier, multi-generational leader in the Southeast market is looking for a high-potential Accounting Manager to join their Charlotte-based headquarters. This is a critical leadership "successor" role, reporting directly to the Controller. It is an ideal transition for a Public Accounting Senior (S1/S2) or an Audit professional looking to move into a stable, high-impact corporate environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a team of two accounting professionals (Senior Staff and AP/AR).
• Treasury & Audit: Take the lead on daily treasury functions and leverage your auditing background to refine internal processes.
• Operations: Work closely with the Controller on job costing, sales tax, and joint venture accounting.
• Strategic Resource: Serve as the financial point of contact for non-accounting project teams, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Requirements:

• CPA License (Active): This is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
• Experience: 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally coming from a Public Accounting firm (Deloitte, Grant Thornton, etc.) or a mid-level corporate audit role.
• Audit Background: Strong foundational knowledge in auditing processes is required.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Excel. Experience with industry-specific ERPs (like CMiC or Sage) is a major plus but not required.
• Leadership Mindset: A desire to lead a team and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
