Pay Rate: $50-60/hour (Coverts to 100-140k when FT)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Duration: Temp to hire


Position Summary: Our client is seeking a communicative and highly self-sufficient Accounting Manager to join its growing Finance & Accounting team. Reporting into the VP of FP&A, this role will partner closely with a Staff Accountant, VP of Finance, and Production Finance to support core accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This position is being added as the company transitions away from outsourced accounting support, requiring someone who can operate with minimal oversight, execute efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.


Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Support monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Produce monthly P&Ls with budget vs. actuals and investigate variances
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging and support collections efforts
  • Manage revenue recognition schedules in alignment with contractual terms
  • Partner with AP to ensure accurate coding and timely processing of invoices
  • Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Conduct financial analysis and respond to management inquiries
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Research and apply technical accounting guidance as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–6 years of accounting or finance experience (entertainment industry a plus)
  • CPA, MBA, or public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills; NetSuite, Bill.com, and Ramp experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and in a hybrid work setting
  • Proven ability to operate independently with minimal hand-holding in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in lean or scaling teams
  • Comfortable in a direct, feedback-oriented culture with high expectations for ownership and execution
