Compensation: $100k-$115k

Job Summary

As a key member of the Accounting team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for supervising staff accountants, preparing journal entries, reviewing monthly financial information, and reporting results. This role is also responsible for ensuring adequate internal controls — including end user computer application controls — are designed and effectively implemented. The manager will assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and comparisons to actual results.

Key Responsibilities

• Coaching & development of junior staff accountants
• Approve and prepare journal entries
• FP&A reporting (monthly & quarterly)
• Manage the full budget and forecasting process
• OneStream reporting and oversight
• General accounting oversight; serve as back-up for team members
• Ensure adequate internal controls are designed and effectively implemented
• Drive automation initiatives to eliminate manual processes

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Prior leadership experience managing a team of accountants — required
• Strong communicator in English, both written and oral
• Highly competent in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)
• Experience with data analysis tools is an asset (Power BI helpful)
• Understanding of internal control concepts
• OneStream experience is helpful but not a dealbreaker
• Self-confidence, critical thinking, and ability to influence stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and willingness to work extended hours if necessary
• High level of time management and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Automation mindset — ability to identify and eliminate manual processes
