Owned and operated by the City of Milwaukee Business Improvement District #2, the Market opened in 2005 and has been listed among the best public markets in the country. Aside from acting as a landlord and property manager for 17 locally owned vendors, the Market operates two parking lots and an extensive food and beverage operation. Using the guidance of our operating principles – Sense of Humor; Common Sense; Organized Chaos – the focus of the Market Management team is to look at ways to grow our businesses and create awareness by cultivating a high standard of hospitality, customer service and placemaking that our roughly 2 million annual visitors have come to expect and appreciate.
Job Overview
The primary duty of the Accounting Coordinator (AC) is to process and administer financial operations while working closely with all Market departments. The AC position requires a welcoming personality, computer literacy, accountability and, above all, stellar organizational and multi-tasking skills. While providing customer service to Market patrons, the AC additionally handles a range of office tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to keep calm under pressure, multi-task on a variety of projects, and display a cordial and outgoing personality that compliments a close-knit office working environment. This is an in-person, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with benefits. The position requires a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours.

The Accounting Coordinator is an entry-level to mid-level position. Competitive wage commensurate with experience.
