Job Summary:

The Accounting Assistant will support the Accounts Payable function within a fast-paced corporate environment. This position is responsible for invoice processing, vendor communication, payment support, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have dedicated Accounts Payable experience and a strong interest in building a long-term career in the Accounts Payable field.


Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently

• Review, verify, and enter invoices into accounting systems

• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and invoice discrepancies

• Maintain and update vendor records and documentation

• Support invoice matching and reconciliation activities

• Assist with payment processing and accounts payable reporting

• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment-related issues

• Maintain organized records and support audit requests as needed


Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of two years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience

• Experience with invoice processing and payment administration

• Experience managing vendor relationships and communications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment

• Demonstrated interest in advancing within the Accounts Payable profession


Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

• Experience working within a corporate accounting environment

• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems

• Knowledge of invoice reconciliation and payment processing workflows
