Accounting Manager

Our client, a growing financial services firm, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury activities, and the monthly close process. Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with leadership to support the firm's continued growth and operational excellence. This role is newly created due to growth and ideally this hire will develop into an assistant controller/controller long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee corporate cash management, banking activities, and cash forecasting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external tax advisors on compliance matters.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience.
• Experience within real estate, private equity, investment management, or alternative asset management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi, MRI, NetSuite, or similar systems is a plus.

Preferred Background

• Big Four or national public accounting experience.
• Exposure to real estate funds, management companies, and investment structures.
• The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
