Job Summary
Our client, a growing biotech company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key accounting functions and support a fast-pacedenvironment. This role will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, managing inventory accounting, and ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and ASC 606. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Manage inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, cost analysis, and reconciliation of inventory balances
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Oversee lease accounting and compliance with ASC 842
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and FP&A teams to support inventory tracking and financial reporting
- Assist with external audits, technical accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards
- Review and analyze financial results, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve accounting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with management experience preferred but not required. Will consider a strong Sr. Accountant with upside potential
- Biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or other inventory-based industry experience strongly preferred but not required
- Strong experience with month-end close
- Deep knowledge of inventory accounting preferred.
- Proven experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. NetSuite a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic growth environment

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $125,000–$150,000 plus bonus
