The Position:

The Account Executive position is the face of YouDecide and will be responsible for managing the overall client relationship. In this role, you will be supported by a team of experienced employee benefit professionals to help you execute key client activities.


More importantly, the key to this role is advocating on behalf of your clients - anticipate how decisions are made, consistently exploring and uncovering the business needs of your clients and understanding how our range of product offerings can grow their Total Rewards program and achieve efficiencies within their business. Working with them on an ongoing basis, you set the vision and the strategy on how they can continue to develop and grow their program.

Responsibilities:

  • Aligns client needs and goals with expanding business opportunities and building client relationships.
  • Ownership for completion of the daily support for customers including employee benefits consulting, and general account management.
  • Manage basic and complex service issues, employee enrollment meetings and research for team members on client related issues.
  • Prepare executive level reports for stewardship, annual strategy meetings, renewals presentations, placement activity along with analysis.
  • Final review and presentation of annual client deliverables and reports.
  • Manage competitive RFP processes to determine which insurance carriers offer the most favorable plan designs, rates, underwriting provisions, pricing, networks, communications & enrollment approaches, and administrative services for clients.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to building new skills and learning new ways to bring value to clients.


Communications: 

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written with all levels of clients, prospects and colleagues.
  • Ensure all members of the YouDecide client team is engaged and participating in supporting the client.
  • Support and ensure the clients receive accurate and effective employee communications, establish and execute on communication strategies and initiatives (Employee Brochures, newsletters, websites for client communications).
  • Establish with client partners the strategies around employee communication, education or strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure Open Enrollment is executed and all team members are invested with the success of benefit fairs, vendor attendance, and providing YouDecide representation at meetings.


Travel Requirements: 

  • Occasional travel may be required.


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in benefits consulting, account management, or a related role, with a focus on large employers.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, voluntary benefits, and benefits administration software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with a strong sense of urgency around client-related issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Flexible, creative, and collaborative team player.
