Job Title: Welder I / II
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of related welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in MIG or TIG welding (proficiency in at least one is required) on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as needed.
- Ability to weld to a minimum AWS 3G/4G level and perform tack and bead welds to specification.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including the ability to read and comprehend weld specifications at a high level.
- Ability to understand and apply AWS welding symbols correctly.
- Capability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines for consistent operation.
- Skilled in using oxygen/acetylene torch equipment for cutting metals.
- Experience using measurement tools such as tape measures accurately in a fabrication environment.
- Proficient use of basic hand tools, electric tools, cordless tools, and pneumatic tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Strong and consistent attention to detail with a focus on product quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task and work with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Basic computer skills to navigate and use production or company systems.
- Excellent attendance and reliability, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to meet job performance expectations within 90 days or be clearly on track to do so.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Welding certification is preferred and supported, with time provided to practice before certification tests.
- Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1.
- Previous welding certifications and related experience are preferred.
- Experience with fabrication from raw stock using detailed operator instructions and installation drawings.
- Willingness to learn and rotate within various weld areas to broaden skills and support production needs.
- Willingness to wear PPE respirators for extended periods when required by the task.
- Interest in improving self, work area, and company processes, including pursuing additional training.
- Ability to develop and maintain a working knowledge of internal systems such as AS/400 or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated initiative, with the ability to take ownership of work and drive results.
- Comfort working overtime on short notice to support production demands.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.
401k: 100% match of first 3%, and 50% match for the next 2%- 4 Tiers: Employee only, Employee and Spouse, Employee and Children, Family. 3 plan options: PPO, HDHP Gold, HDHP Silver- Dental and Vision Plans- Basic life insurance coverage of $30,000- PTO: 60 hours in first 2 years, then 100 hours year 2-5, 140 hours year 5-10, 180 hours at 10 years and after
