The Role

The Wholesale Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence across domestic and international channels. This role leads the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives, oversees key account relationships, and ensures alignment between sales and brand objectives. With a strong focus on performance, market insight, and team leadership, the Sales Director plays a critical role in shaping assortment strategy, optimizing sell-through, and identifying new business opportunities to support overall company growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform pricing, positioning, and assortment strategy
  • Establish and manage quarterly and annual sales forecasts, KPIs, and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering accountability, growth, and results-driven performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and product development to ensure cohesive execution of brand and sales initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including department stores, specialty boutiques, and international distributors
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across both traditional wholesale and emerging digital channels
  • Oversee seasonal showroom sales, trade shows, and market appointments, ensuring strong brand presentation and sales conversion
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, margin, and sell-through, providing actionable insights and reporting to leadership
  • Deliver market feedback to design and merchandising teams to inform future collections and product strategy
  • Partner with operations and merchandising to monitor inventory levels, optimize stock turnover, and minimize markdown risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in fashion sales, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership or director role.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale, retail, and/or e-commerce fashion sales.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Passion for fashion, trends, and consumer behavior.
