Job Description

This role focuses on forming, fitting, and welding components for plows and other heavy equipment attachments by working directly from blueprints and detailed work instructions. You will use MIG welding techniques in a clean, production-oriented shop to fabricate high-quality products that meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine daily welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Form, fit, and weld components for plows and heavy equipment attachments according to specifications.
  • Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and accurate welds.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and tools to meet production requirements.
  • Inspect welds and finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Follow fabrication processes to cut, shape, and assemble materials as required for each job.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with shop standards.
  • Work efficiently in a production welding environment to meet output and quality targets.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating welding and fabrication equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with MIG welding in a production or fabrication environment.
  • Strong skills in metal fabrication, including forming and fitting components.
  • Capability to produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet specifications.
  • Attention to detail when working from blueprints and work instructions.
  • Certified welder through formal schooling or previous employment experience.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience welding and fabricating heavy equipment attachments or similar products.
  • Comfort working in a production weld environment with defined output goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills when interpreting blueprints and resolving fit-up issues.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement in welding techniques.

Work Environment

This position is based in a very clean, well-organized shop environment focused on production welding and fabrication. The role follows a weekend shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., working 36 hours while being paid for 40 hours. You will primarily use MIG welding equipment and standard fabrication tools while working from blueprints and work instructions. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficiency to support high-quality manufacturing work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Osceola, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
