Job Title: Structural Welder

This is a fully on site position in Charleston, South Carolina

Compensation: $34-45 an hour

Per diem: $140 in daily per diem

Job Description:

• Perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys.
• Determine layouts and weld parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Flux core and Mig-Pulse Arc Welding.

🧰Key Responsibilities

• Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) on high-grade steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
• Fit, align, and tack weld steel structures with precision
• Use grinders, torches, and measuring tools to prepare and finish welds
• Weld in 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical), and 4G (overhead) positions
• Work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, and in varied environments
• Collaborate with engineers and inspectors to meet military-grade specifications
• Follow strict safety protocols and contribute to a culture of quality and accountability

🧪Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SMAW and FCAW welding
• Ability to pass military-spec welding assessments
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physically able to lift 40lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
• Willingness to work multiple shifts in a 24/7 production environment

This is a Contract position based out of Goose Creek, SC.

The pay range for this position is $29.56 - $38.90/hr.
