Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and joining aluminum and steel metals to precise specifications. You will work in a fabrication shop from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for voluntary overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly.
  • Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately.
  • Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools.
  • Determine correct gas ratios for welding projects.
  • Test the strength of each joint during and after project completion.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot welding issues as needed.
  • Liaise with supervisors to report issues and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a welding position.
  • Strong stamina, strength, and dexterity.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Sound understanding of welding safety protocols.
  • Willingness to obtain welding certification through the company.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and tape measures accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG welding and familiarity with welding blueprints.
  • Mechanically inclined with knowledge of TIG welding.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
