Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate production equipment, assemble products, perform quality checks, and package finished goods. This role involves supporting various stages of the production process in a clean, team-oriented warehouse environment. Experience in a warehouse or similar production setting is highly valued. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitter machines and other production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform accurate product assembly and labeling tasks to meet quality targets.
• Carry out basic quality checks on materials to identify any defects.
• Utilize basic math and reading skills to follow written instructions and verify product counts.
• Collaborate in small teams to complete daily production goals.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of prior experience in a similar environment.
• Proficiency in machine operation, assembly, and packaging tasks.
• Experience with basic material handling and staging items for production.
• Knowledgeable in basic safety procedures and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work a first-shift schedule (Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
• Capability to work in a clean warehouse environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
• Possession of steel-toe boots and adherence to a dress code of jeans or sturdy work pants.
• Strong attention to detail and a record of reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a clean warehouse and production area. You will be part of a small, collaborative team of 2–4 people focusing on safety and following established procedures. The environment is focused on high-quality standards and efficiency in a structured, professional setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ames,IA.
