TITLE: Wastewater Operator A, B, or C
SALARY: Operator C: $25.00 – $37.50/hr ($52,000 – $78,000 annually)
Operator B: $26.92 – $40.38/hr ($56,000 – $84,000 annually)
Operator A: $28.37 – $42.79/hr ($59,000 – $89,000 annually)
Pay within range is based on experience, certifications, and licensing level

OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of plant leadership, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities to control the flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent. This role involves monitoring system performance, interpreting operational data, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. It plays a critical role in ensuring environmental safety and operational efficiency in a dynamic utility environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in a wastewater treatment plant environment with exposure to varying weather and potential hazards. Requires walking, standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry 20–50 lbs regularly and occasionally lift over 100 lbs. Visual acuity is necessary for inspecting equipment and reading instruments. Exposure to mechanical systems, chemicals, and environmental hazards is expected.
