POSITION SUMMARY:

The Waste & Recycling Account Representative will learn how to effectively oversee easy to complex projects for major manufacturers to reduce overall costs. The Representative will also utilize various diversionary strategies to reduce our customers’ environmental landfill impact. This position will lead to a Senior Account Representative, then Account Management position, handling Fortune 100 -1000 manufacturers and corporations, directly interfacing with key supply chain partners and customers’ internal corporate supply chain management team. This position is the foundation and will focus heavily on learning our industry, technology, and processes


STARTING SALARY:

$52,000


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Waste Account Representatives support our Account and Sr. Account Management team, working on delegated projects and supporting the ongoing optimization initiatives for our customers. The purpose of the Account Representative is to track, manage, and execute against the customer’s waste management strategy, provide the best market cost and competitive advantage over their competition while ensuring a continuous supply to the company that meets or exceeds expectations. The excelled level of the Account Representative position would be responsible for identifying opportunities that could reduce costs, improve processes, increase utilization, and support year over year cost reduction.


Aspects of the Account Representative role include:

  • Demonstrating competency of MYCA’s proprietary waste management software
  • Analyzing and maintaining fair supplier service agreements to effectively manage area of spend
  • Maintaining accurate data and information within MYCA’s proprietary waste management system
  • Managing performance & contractual pricing expectations with suppliers
  • Working against all strategic initiatives outlined by the Account Managers
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Operations to optimize customer waste servicelevels
  • Representing MYCA and our customers in a polished and professional manner


Required skills:

  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Ability to multi-task, work in demanding situations, work independently, utilize discretionary judgment, and be a pro-active team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including a focus on problem solving, listening objectively, and contributing to maintaining a positive team spirit
  • Strong oral and written communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Statistics, or related field OR equivalenttraining, education, and experience
