HTI is assisting a global paper manufacturer with their search for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at the start-up facility in Spartanburg, SC! This role is responsible for managing all warehouse, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities for the plant, as well as maintaining a positive, supportive, and safe work environment.


  • Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 / year, depending on experience
  • Location: Spartanburg, SC
  • Work hours: Day/1st shift hours
  • This is a direct hire, full-time role
  • Local candidates preferred


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Manager onsite at a high-volume manufacturing facility (not solely distribution experience)
  • Must have experience leading shipping, receiving, line-side delivery, inventory management, material handling, picking, and packing activities
  • Must have strong technology skills and experience with MS Office, ERP, and WMS systems
  • Strong leadership, coaching, training, and communication skills
  • Forklift certification and 5S experience
  • Experience in a GMP and/or FDA regulated industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading cycle counts/inventory audits
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational/planning skills
  • Startup plant experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 20-50 lbs. on occasion


Job Duties:

  • Champion and promote a “Safety First” mindset, ensuring the safety of all employees and visitors
  • Supervise the Warehouse Team Lead and 4-8 Material Handlers/Forklift Drivers
  • Manage daily warehouse operations including loading and unloading, picking and packing orders, stock movements to and from the line, storage and shipping
  • Ensure shipping labels and documents are properly generated and verified
  • Verify BOL’s and inspect all incoming/outgoing shipments for accuracy
  • Track all inventory through the ERP system and produce periodic reports
  • Lead cycle counting and inventory audits
  • Coordinate daily warehouse and material handling staff workloads, considering transportation schedules and store service levels while ensuring employee schedules are managed effectively
  • Monitor team performance, train and coach warehouse employees, and address any performance or attendance issues
  • Lead and facilitate warehouse team meetings and ensure the proper pass down of information between shifts
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Production Manager, Buyer/Planner, and Supply Chain staff to ensure proper planning, scheduling, and inventory management to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Communicate with external transportation/shipping providers to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials to the plant and on-time delivery of finished goods to the customer
  • Coordinate with the leadership team to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure the proper training of all material handlers / forklift drivers
  • Ensure the proper use of all required PPE and the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment within the plant and warehouse
