Warehouse Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations, optimize material flow, and ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant logistics performance. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse and logistics professional who excels in fast‑paced environments, continuous improvement initiatives, and team leadership.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership

  • Direct daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics activities to ensure reliability, accuracy, and strong support for production and customer delivery.
  • Lead warehouse layout, workflow improvements, and process updates to enhance efficiency and material handling.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment between warehouse operations, transportation, and production needs.

Inventory, Systems & Material Management

  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy using cycle counts, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Use ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) to manage material movement, support inventory controls, and identify opportunities for system‑driven process improvements.
  • Support consistent standards and documentation across warehouse processes.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Oversee inbound and outbound transportation activities, including scheduling, documentation, and carrier coordination.
  • Evaluate freight options and cost structures to support operational and service goals.

Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership

  • Apply Lean or similar methodologies to improve efficiency, safety, and throughput.
  • Lead or support improvement initiatives, new processes, or operational enhancements-not just maintenance of existing routines.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to drive accountability and data‑based decision‑making.

Team Development

  • Build, coach, and guide warehouse teams and frontline leaders to support operational goals.
  • Promote a culture of communication, safety, ownership, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
  • 8-10 years of warehouse and logistics management experience, ideally in a manufacturing or high‑volume environment.
  • 5+ years of hands-on ERP experience (SAP MM/WM or similar systems required).
  • Proven success leading facility startups, major process improvements, or cross-functional logistics projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, supplier proposals, and operational cost structures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities with internal teams and external partners.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting.
  • A hands-on leadership approach focused on problem-solving, efficiency, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Oversight of multi-site warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies or advanced material handling systems.
  • Working knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA).
