Materials And Logistics Manager

About AGI

Advanced Giga Inc. designs, fabricates, and deploys modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale operators. Our flagship products the MDH (Modular Data Hall), MTCS (Modular Technology Cooling System), and MES (Modular Energy Server) - are factory-built, tested, and commissioned before they ever leave our facility. We are not a general contractor. We are an engineering-led manufacturer that owns the full lifecycle: design, fabrication, controls integration, factory acceptance testing, delivery, and on-site commissioning. Our clients include the largest cloud infrastructure providers in the world.

We are a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly shape outcomes on programs worth tens of millions of dollars. If you have spent your career inside large organizations and are looking for a place where your experience actually gets used - not diluted across layers of bureaucracy - this is it.

The Role

AGI is hiring a Materials & Logistics Manager to own the physical flow of materials and equipment - from the moment they arrive at our fabrication shop through final delivery and placement at client sites. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role - not a desk job. You will be responsible for receiving, warehousing, inventory tracking, kit bundling per module, check-in/check-out of all materials at our fabrication partner facility, and coordinating the transportation and delivery of completed modules to their final destination.

With multiple module sets in production on overlapping schedules, dozens of vendors shipping equipment simultaneously, and contracts that leave no room for waste or misallocation, this role is the critical link between procurement, fabrication, and delivery. If a valve ends up in the wrong module, if pipe fittings are missing from a kit, if a vendor shipment sits on a dock unchecked for a week, or if a completed module misses its delivery window - that is on you. The right person for this role is organized, physically present, and relentless about tracking every item from dock receipt through final placement at the client site.

What You Will Actually Do

• Create and implement a material management process using Silvertag RFID or similar technology to aid in accomplishing the following tasks:

• Receive and inspect all incoming material and equipment deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists - verify quantities, specifications, and condition

• Maintain a real-time material tracking system (spreadsheet or database) with status of every item: ordered, received, inspected, stored, kitted, installed, or returned

• Organize warehouse/laydown areas by module set and discipline to prevent cross-contamination of materials between modules

• Bundle and kit materials per module per discipline (mechanical, electrical, controls) so fabrication crews receive complete material packages for each work scope

• Manage check-in/check-out tracking for tools, consumables, and materials issued to fabrication crews

• Coordinate with the Procurement Manager on delivery schedules and flag any receiving discrepancies (shortages, damages, wrong items) immediately

• Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager on material inspection hold points - certain items require inspection before being released to fabrication

• Track material consumption rates and flag potential shortages before they stop production

• Manage surplus and return logistics - identify excess material, coordinate returns or transfers between module sets

• Maintain clean, organized, and labeled storage areas - this is a production environment, not a construction site laydown yard

• Develop and maintain the logistics and delivery plan for completed modules - sequencing, routing, and timing aligned with project schedules and commissioning milestones

• Coordinate oversized load transportation - route surveys, oversize/overweight permits, specialized carriers, escort vehicles, and pilot cars

• Coordinate load-out at the fabrication shop (rigging, crane lifts, tie-down, pre-departure verification) and receiving/offloading at client sites

• Manage on-site module placement into final position - coordinating with crane operators, rigging crews, and client site teams

• Track and report delivery status in real time - the PM and client need to know exactly where every module is during transit

• Manage freight insurance, damage documentation, and claims processes for any in-transit incidents

Who You Are

• 5+ years of materials management, warehouse management, or inventory control experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction environment

• Hands-on experience with receiving, storing, and issuing mechanical and electrical materials (pipe, fittings, valves, electrical components, instrumentation)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - you will be tracking thousands of individual items across multiple modules simultaneously

• Proficiency with inventory tracking systems, barcode/scanning systems, or advanced spreadsheet management

• Ability to read engineering drawings and bills of material (BOMs) to verify incoming materials against design requirements

• Physical ability to work in a fabrication shop environment - walking the floor, inspecting deliveries, organizing laydown areas

• Experience working with fabrication or manufacturing teams and understanding production sequencing needs

• Strong communication skills - you will interface daily with procurement, QA/QC, fabrication crews, carriers, crane operators, and client site teams

• Experience with oversized/heavy-haul freight coordination - route planning, permitting, and specialized equipment transport

• Knowledge of crane operations, rigging plans, and heavy lift procedures for setting large prefabricated modules

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in piping fabrication, MEP prefabrication, or modular construction materials management

• Bilingual English/Spanish (strongly preferred - our fabrication partner team operates primarily in Spanish)

• Experience in implementing or managing material tracking systems (ERP, warehouse management software)

• Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment

• Experience with just-in-time delivery coordination in a production environment

• Familiarity with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and state-specific oversize/overweight permitting

• Existing relationships with heavy-haul carriers and crane companies in Texas

• Experience with GPS/fleet tracking systems for real-time shipment monitoring

• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification

What We Offer

• Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000

• Performance bonus tied to program delivery milestones

• Direct impact on a high-growth company at the intersection of manufacturing and critical infrastructure

• Ownership of your domain - you set the processes, you build the relationships, you drive the outcomes

• A technical leadership team that speaks your language (engineering-led company, not sales-led)

• The chance to build something from a formative stage - this is not a mature 500-person organization with established playbooks. We are building those playbooks, and the right person will help write them
