PrideStaff,on behalf of their client in Fort Lauderdale, is looking for ahands-on, organized, and reliableWarehouse Lead to be in charge of the daily operations in their close-knit warehouse. The ideal candidate is a "working supervisor" who can balance administrative tasks (inventory management, shipping documentation) with active floor support (picking, packing, loading). You will be the "anchor" of our warehouse, maintaining a high level of accuracy and a clean, safe environment while fostering a positive team culture
Responsibilities:- Please welcome delivery trucks and track/document the arrival and departure times of each shipment.
- Receive and track all incoming shipments; record and manage any impaired or damaged merchandise.
- Tag, label, and stockpile merchandise by size, shape, and type to maintain a highly organized warehouse.
- Accurately pick and prepare all orders for shipment.
- Box, wrap, and pack merchandise according to strict procedures; handle all fragile items with care.
- Embark merchandise onto delivery trucks using appropriate tools (forklifts, pallet jacks) to ensure safe, secure transport.
- Safely operate all merchandise management tools, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Track all movement data in inventory and logistics software.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years of previous warehouse lead or supervisory experience.
- Current Forklift Certification.
- Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs and stay active on the floor for the duration of the shift.
- A trueTeam Playerwith a history of long-term commitment to previous employers.
- Strong problem-solver with great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to stay "computer savvy" for digital tracking.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and a drug screen.
