Job Title: Data Entry and Warehouse Clerk

Job Description

This role combines accurate data entry of chemical-related information with hands-on work in a warehouse environment. You will collect information from various sources, enter it into Excel, and help maintain clear, consistent records that support safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Enter chemical data such as composition, quantity, and volume into Excel with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Pull and verify information from websites, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) books, and container labels located on the warehouse floor.
  • Read and interpret labels and basic technical documents to ensure correct data entry.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for shipping, receiving, and inventory-related activities.
  • Perform general data entry tasks to support warehouse operations and documentation requirements.
  • Work independently in both office and warehouse settings while managing time and priorities effectively.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff as needed to locate containers and confirm product details.

Essential Skills

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in data entry or working as a warehouse clerk.
  • Proficiency with Excel for data entry, including entering and updating records accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to read and understand labels and basic technical documents.
  • Experience with record keeping in an operational or warehouse setting.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused in both office and warehouse environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) information and how to reference it.
  • Comfort using computers and standard office software for data entry and record management.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple data sources and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to clarify information with warehouse and office staff when needed.

Work Environment

This position involves working in both office and warehouse settings. In the office, you will primarily use a computer with Excel and other standard software to enter and manage data. The environment is focused on organized operations and accurate documentation, with an expectation of practical, safety-conscious attire suitable for a warehouse and office mix.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
