Role: Voice Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI, USA (ONSITE)


Job Description:

  • Should have hands on working experience and able to troubleshoot l2 level issue of Avaya & Cisco technology
  • Good Experience in Avaya Communication Manager (CM) , system Manager , Session manager and Avaya SBC.
  • Strong knowledge of call routing
  • Good knowledge of voice mail server
  • Good understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Proficient in configuring analog, digital, IP, SIP, Portable phone, and Polycom phones
  • Good understanding of VOIP call flow & ability to coordinate effectively with multiple vendors
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for VOIP phones
  • Good knowledge of H.323 and SIP protocols
  • Familiarity with Avaya and Cisco Voice Gateway gateways
  • Providing RCAs for any major outage.
  • Should know ITIL process and follow it while working.
  • Should be able to co-ordinate with internal teams and external vendors as and when required as per situation.
  • Should create KB article, SOPs for team.
  • Should have good communication skills (written and spoken)


A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies.
