Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ months - Contract
Pay: 98/hr – 110/hr on W2(Inclusive all)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support Power Delivery Services projects focused on Transmission, Substation, and Distribution facilities. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across all project phases including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering activities including scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.
- Collaborate with project management, construction, environmental, real estate teams, and external agencies.
- Conduct field visits and provide engineering construction support for transmission, substation, and distribution facilities.
- Manage civil engineering consultants including scope definition, proposal review, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Perform QA/QC reviews, approve invoices, and manage purchase orders.
- Secure permits and approvals from local jurisdiction agencies and support regulatory compliance.
- Manage multiple project schedules and budgets while maintaining proactive stakeholder communication.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture in both office and field environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Experience supporting utility infrastructure, transmission, substation, or distribution projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in land development for electrical substations and transmission access roads.
- Familiarity with road/highway design and storm damage mitigation.
- Knowledge of California permitting processes.
- Experience with contractor management and purchase order oversight.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
