Senior UX Designer (SaaS Platform)
Position Type: Permanent
Work Environment: Jensen Beach, Florida
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + Benefits / Bonus
Position Overview
We’re hiring a Senior UX Designer to help shape the end-to-end experience across a complex, multi-product SaaS platform focused on energy and distributed systems.
This is a high-ownership role within a small UX team where you’ll lead UX initiatives from discovery through delivery. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to design intuitive, scalable experiences for technical users operating in complex environments.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in lean teams, takes initiative, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving meaningful product impact.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
You will:
- Own UX across multiple products, ensuring consistency, usability, and scalability across the platform
- Translate complex technical requirements into intuitive, user-centered workflows and interfaces
- Plan and conduct user research (interviews, discovery, workflow analysis) to deeply understand user behavior and pain points
- Develop user journeys, task flows, interaction models, and information architecture
- Design clear, efficient, and accessible interfaces for both technical and non-technical users
- Run usability testing and validation, iterating designs based on feedback and data
- Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineering leads to deliver high-impact solutions
- Measure UX improvements using metrics such as adoption, activation, and user satisfaction
- Contribute to and evolve UX standards, patterns, and design systems
Basic Requirements (Must Have)
- 5+ years of UX or Product Design experience, ideally within SaaS or complex software environments
- Proven experience owning end-to-end UX across multi-product or highly complex systems
- Strong ability to operate independently and drive work forward in a lean team environment
- Experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable design decisions
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and modern SaaS UX patterns (dashboards, workflows, onboarding, permissions)
- Proficiency with design tools, particularly Figma
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience designing for technical or enterprise users (e.g., engineering, energy, industrial software)
- Familiarity working alongside engineering teams using modern tech stacks (e.g., APIs, TypeScript, cloud-based systems)
- Experience contributing to design systems and reusable component libraries
- Exposure to usability analytics, product metrics, or data-informed design practices
The Challenges
- Designing for highly technical workflows where complexity cannot be removed—only simplified
- Balancing user needs with real-world system constraints and engineering limitations
- Maintaining UX consistency across a growing suite of interconnected products
- Operating in a lean team where ownership is high and resources are limited
Your Impact
You will play a key role in shaping how users interact with a sophisticated software platform. Your work will directly influence:
- Product usability and adoption
- Customer efficiency and decision-making
- The evolution of UX practices within a growing organization
