Trident Consulting is seeking a “ US Payroll Specialist” for one of our clients in “Aliso Viejo, CA - Onsite” — a global leader in technology.


Job Title: US Payroll Specialist

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA - Onsite

Type: W2 Contract

Rate: $45-48/Hr


Summary:

  • This position is responsible for the processing of the Company’s multi-state payroll with oversight of the international subsidiaries’ payroll Processing
  • U.S. Payroll - full responsibility for processing payroll for U.S. employees using outsourced payroll software
  • Enter and/or verify all personnel changes into HR/Payroll software
  • Establish or modify payroll earnings and deduction codes
  • Review non-exempt employee time and attendance entries
  • Prepare exempt and non-exempt payrolls based on payroll schedule and lead times
  • Prepare special payrolls for corporate bonus’ and similar situations
  • Prepare manual payroll checks when needed
  • Submit payrolls from review by Controller
  • Process payroll garnishments as required
  • Upload 401(k) withholdings to plan
  • Coordinate payroll requirements for the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Prepare all journal entries related to payroll as well as reconcile associated balance sheet accounts
  • Review year end W2 statements Payroll Taxes
  • Register in the appropriate tax jurisdictions
  • Process rate notices as received
  • Answer all tax correspondence received Stock Option Adjustment
  • Enter compensation and tax adjustments related to employee stock option exercises International Subsidiaries
  • Assist in the coordination of international subsidiary payrolls. Other
  • Assist with any requests related to the quarterly and annual external public company audit reviews
  • Coordinate SOX activities related to payroll
  • File workers compensation reports and oversee related


Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Some exposure to general ledger and journal entries.
  • Experience with international operations a plus.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll
  • Excel and Word.
  • Some knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to securely maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, HS Diploma with relevant experience accepted.
