Job Description:
This is a full-time position responsible for teaching Upper School Spanish in grades 9–12 within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The successful candidate will teach a range of Spanish courses, including language acquisition.
Spanish is part of the World Languages Department, which includes Spanish, French, and Mandarin. The department operates within a collaborative model where teachers work together to design units, assessments, and learning experiences that are aligned both vertically and within the IB framework. The role requires a strong commitment to collaboration, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute to ongoing curriculum development and professional dialogue.
The Upper School consists of approximately 390 students and operates on an 85-minute block schedule across a two-day cycle. Lausanne faculty are expected to be active participants in the life of the school, contributing both inside and outside of the classroom.
