Job Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for synchronization of training programs, doctrinal standards, and staff processes. Bridge the gap between "how we plan" and "how we execute" by developing comprehensive training plans and staffing packages aligned with Joint Staff requirements by translating complex warfighting concepts into structured training and repeatable organizational procedures. Ensure CCMD and JTF staffs are mission-ready through the following actions:
- Training Lifecycle Management: Develop, maintain, and deliver specialized user training for CCMD and Joint Task Force Headquarters staffs, ensuring personnel are proficient in joint operating procedures.
- Process & Procedure Development: Identify organizational gaps and lead the development of formal processes and procedures to streamline staff efficiency.
- Staffing Coordination: Expertly prepare and manage complex staffing packages, navigating the Joint Staff structure to ensure timely approvals and cross-agency synchronization.
- Working Group Leadership: Plan, facilitate, and lead professional working groups to address operational challenges or refine training requirements.
- Analytical Assessment: Perform rigorous analytical analysis of current training effectiveness and operational workflows to provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the Joint Staff, CCMDs, Services, and DoD Agencies to maintain effective working relationships and ensure unity of effort.
- Travel may be required.
Requirements
Experience Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate at least 2 years of experience in the following core competencies:
- Joint Training Standards: In-depth knowledge of JMETL (Joint Mission Essential Task List), UJTL (Universal Joint Task List), and the development of a Master Training Plan (MTP).
- Doctrine & Structure: Comprehensive understanding of the Joint Doctrine process and the specific missions, programs, and organizational hierarchies of the Joint Staff and its partners.
- Staffing Expertise: Proven ability to develop and route formal staffing packages and a mastery of the relationships between CCMDs, Services, and DoD Agencies.
- Training Delivery: Hands-on experience coordinating and delivering technical or operational training to senior-level military staffs.
- Communication Mastery: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a sophisticated command of modern English grammar and the ability to maintain interpersonal relationships in high-pressure environments.
- Analysis & Development: Demonstrated experience in analytical evaluation and the creation of standardized organizational procedures.
Education & Operational Experience
This position prioritizes proven field expertise and "boots-on-the-ground" knowledge:
Requirement: No formal degree required, provided the candidate possesses at least 5 years of warfighting operational experience.
Clearance Requirements: Possesses and maintain TS/SCI
