A trusts and estates boutique is looking for a litigation attorney to join its team. The successful attorney will be handling a variety of high-stakes disputes, including fiduciary misconduct, undue influence, capacity claims, and contested administrations. Expect hands-on experience at every stage of the case. The successful attorney will have a passion for litigation and an interest in trusts and estates disputes.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of trusts and estates litigation experience is strongly preferred. However, candidates with no trusts and estates experience are encouraged to apply only if they have 2-4 years of solid litigation experience and an interest in trusts and estates law.
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Currently admitted to the Washington State Bar, or able to waive in promptly.
- Experience drafting motions and pleadings, legal research, legal analysis, handling discovery, and taking/defending depositions.
- Ability to proactively identify key legal issues.
- Desire to take ownership of assignments and accept regular feedback.
- Strong communication, analytical, legal writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented and well organized.
- Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
- Strong academic performance in law school preferred.
- Ability to go into the office 4 days per week, with the office being located in the greater Tacoma area.
Compensation Range & Benefits:
- $150,000 - $180,000
- Health and dental insurance; 401K with 3% employer match; Crystal Mountain season pass; Performance bonuses up to $15,000 per quarter for associates whose quarterly collections exceed 375 hours of billed work.
