Trucking Supervisor

Our client is seeking a reliable and results-driven Trucking Supervisor to lead and support a team of OTR drivers and their needs while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining safety standards, optimizing routes, and driving operational efficiency. The Trucking Supervisor will also work as the "right hand" of the Trucking Manager, assisting with planning and developing new routes. This is an ideal next career step for a truck driver, freight dispatcher or CDL route planner. This position will work 100% onsite. There is no remote work option available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation and logistics operations, including routing, dispatching, and scheduling
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 drivers and transportation staff. The routes are no touch freight runs with 85% of deliveries during the daytime.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations
• Manage driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and transportation documentation
• Investigate and resolve transportation issues, delays, or service failures
• Track and report key performance metrics (KPIs)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3+ years of experience in a related role such as trucking planning/dispatching experience and/or OTR truck drivers
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety compliance
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS)
