Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

The Collateral Management Unit (CMU) is part of Corporate Treasury within Wells Fargo Enterprise Finance, and plays a pivotal role in Wells Fargo’s management of collateral in a centralized, transparent, and efficient manner. To accomplish this, the CMU performs collateral monitoring and oversight, develops a strategy to manage and administer Company-wide governance over collateral, and identifies opportunities to improve collateral management to achieve operational efficiencies.  

The Treasury Financial Senior Consultant position provides a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of Wells Fargo’s trading strategy and to add value to its risk management practices. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop materials outlining key collateral updates for monthly status meeting with the Treasurer of Wells Fargo 
  • Regularly assist in production of presentations for senior management as well as regulatory bodies
  • Assist the Head of the CMU/Corporate Treasury business group lead in analyzing financial data
  • Partner with collateral management business group team members to facilitate required collateral reporting and analysis
  • Preparation of ad-hoc special projects assigned by senior leaders with tight deadlines
  • Assist in or lead (as needed) further development of collateral reporting tools, methodologies or testing of implementation of improvements or enhancements

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience at a top-tier investment bank or management consulting firm. They should be a quick learner with a keen interest in Capital Markets. The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of attention to detail and critical-thinking skills. They will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to develop cross-functional relationships and to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.



Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting


Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience involving financial analysis or transaction monitoring at a large financial institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of the treasury management industry: Collateral (including optimization), stress testing, liquidity management
  • Highly motivated team player with an ability to learn in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively  
  • Microsoft Power Point (high-level of proficiency) and Microsoft Excel skills
