Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

The Wells Fargo Home Lending Finance Group tracks, analyzes and reports on financial results of the Wells Fargo Home Lending business.  In addition, the group provides thought leadership identifying alternative and proactive approaches and solutions for the business based on financial analysis that can have a critical impact on the long term business strategy and performance.
 
This position will support the Retail Production Support team within Home Lending Finance, with a focus business reporting.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist with developing regular and ad hoc reporting in support of the Home Lending Retail business
  • Partner with Home Lending Finance to drive transformational change to our reporting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency and transparency.  The incumbent will focus on the development of more automated report delivery and partnering with colleagues to minimize dependency of Microsoft Access
  • May act as a team lead in providing work guidance or mentorship to other team members
  • Manage risk effectively through strong controls and processes
     


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting


Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with relational databases and/or reporting user interfaces, working with large sets of data a plus.  The preferred candidate has experience manipulating, coding, analyzing and presenting data using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, Alteryx and Essbase
