Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.
The Senior Reporting Consultant position will be on the Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting team. This position will be responsible for preparing and reviewing FINRA/SEC required reports such as the FOCUS report, 15c3-1 Net Capital Statement, 15c3-3 Reserve Calculation, FORM Custody, SSOI as well as preparing GAAP financial statements for the entity. Other responsibilities include:
- Maintain knowledge of the broker-dealer rules and regulations and ensure compliance to the latest requirements
- Maintain knowledge of GAAP broker -dealer reporting requirements and the ability to produce financial statements with relevant footnote disclosures
- Ensure the compliance with requirements under the Company’s Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework including desktop procedures, work papers, and EUCT controls for the assigned regulatory reports; provide guidance and support to the department in completion of all required deliverables
- Strong excel skills to query, and organize data to create necessary reports and respond to requests from leadership (e.g., status / dashboard reporting)
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
Desired Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
- Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
- An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities
Other Desired Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in a financial service firm with broker dealer regulatory or financial reporting experience a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes and reporting to FINRA and SEC that includes knowledge of broker dealer capital requirements and calculations
- Series 99 or 27 licensed
