Transactional Attorney- Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions

The transactional practice is a core pillar of our firm and we do significant work in M&A, commercial real estate, and serving as outside general counsel for a number of national organizations, including hospitality and healthcare. We are looking for a Transactional Attorney to help lead and grow our transactional practice and to focus on corporate and M&A transactions, including work integrating regulatory, compliance, and healthcare issues. This role is well-suited for an attorney who enjoys both complex deal work and strategic client counseling and who is interested in shaping the transactional practice direction.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and advise on a broad range of general corporate and transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic investments
  • Partner with clients to develop expansion strategies and deal structures
  • Draft, negotiate, and oversee complex commercial agreements and transaction documents
  • Advise clients on general corporate housekeeping, including entity formation, governance, operational issues, and contract strategy
  • Manage legal due diligence and transaction closings and coordinate across internal teams and external advisors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships serving as a point of contact for senior leadership roles in clients’ organizations
  • Coordinate with real estate team on various commercial real estate transactions, including leasing and acquisitions/dispositions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; contribute to business development
  • Mentor associates and collaborate with firm leadership on practice growth


What We’re Looking For

  • J.D. and Texas Bar admission
  • Demonstrated expertise in business transactions and corporate transactional work
  • Experience advising clients in highly regulated industries is preferred
  • Ability to lead team in a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing a practice
