As an Ops Training Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, management, and execution of employee training programs across the brand. This includes assessing training needs, collaborating with operations teams, scheduling sessions, and evaluating the success of training initiatives to ensure that team members develop the essential skills and meet the brand’s standards.

Needs Analysis

Assess team member performance and identify training needs across restaurants by collaborating with managers and crew trainers. Communicate training opportunities to teams, promote participation, and address any training related inquiries.

Training Delivery

Schedule and facilitate training sessions, either in-person or online, utilizing appropriate instructional methods. Ensure all training programs adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.

Performance Evaluation

Assess team member proficiency through practical exercises, quizzes, and observations, offering constructive feedback and addressing areas needing improvement. Provide coaching and guidance to Area Coaches and Managers on training-related matters, covering operational procedures, guest service, and performance enhancements.

Learning Management System

Utilize the LMS to manage training compliance, track new hire progress, and monitor overall restaurant completion rates.

Training Curriculum Delivery and Enhancement

Promote a culture of continuous learning and development. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. Analyze training data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and recommend program enhancements.


Required Competencies & Experience

• A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in restaurant operations, demonstrating a strong understanding of operational processes.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and skilled at managing time efficiently. Flexibility in working hours is essential to support restaurant operations and meet team needs while adhering to deadlines.

• Proven ability to manage multiple training programs, schedules, and logistics simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel regularly, depending on work requirements and the teams or regions being supported.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively, while remaining adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A valid Driver’s License is required.


Physical Requirements

• Mobility: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours) while conducting in-store training.

• Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-30 lbs. occasionally (e.g., training materials, product cases, equipment).

• Manual Dexterity: Requires frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling training tools or kitchen items.

• Communication: Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with team members in a noisy, fast-paced environment.

• Travel: Requires reliable transportation; must be able to travel between restaurant locations (may include driving or occasional overnight stays).

• Environment: Must be comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment, sometimes around fryers, grills, and cleaning chemicals.
