IntePros is partnering with a growing medical device manufacturing organization seeking a Tooling Supervisor to lead tool room operations and support high-volume production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on tooling leader with experience in injection molding, mold maintenance, and team leadership who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and driving operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily tool room operations, including mold and die repair, maintenance, and fabrication
- Supervise and mentor tooling technicians and support team development/training
- Minimize production downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate tooling schedules, repairs, and new tooling projects
- Support cross-functional teams with tooling and manufacturing-related issues
- Maintain tooling asset traceability and documentation within SAP
- Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department
- Assist with cost estimates, project planning, and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of hands-on tooling experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of:
- Injection molding
- Mold design and repair
- Tool room operations
- Manufacturing processes and machine operations
- Experience troubleshooting tooling issues in production environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and maintenance teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Machining, Plastics, or related field
- Experience with SAP, Minitab, or similar manufacturing systems
- Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus
