Tool and Die Maintenance Technician 2nd shift

About the Role

Ideal candidate can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of dies, blueprints, and equipment that is used in a die maintenance shop. Strong conventional machining skills .Fabrication & welding experience. Ability to work independently and take ownership.


Must follow all safety practices and procedures set forth by the company, complete working knowledge of plant operations specializing in the Tool and Die Maintenance Department, possess excellent math skills. Candidate must be able to utilize computer programs to assist in troubleshooting problems.


Responsibilities

  • Build or maintain existing tools to acceptable quality standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving; such as 8D and 5 Whys.
  • Able to pull and set up tooling.
  • Process paperwork as required.


Qualifications

  • Vocational Training, Journeyman and/or relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of CAD (computer-aided design) to produce parts and products.


Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of dies, blueprints, and equipment used in a die maintenance shop.
  • Experience with manual and computer-aided machine tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.
