Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to support a leading electronic systems and test solutions organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong experience in thermocouple-based temperature measurement and thermal validation of complex electronic systems.

The Thermal Test Engineer will partner closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and execute thermal test strategies, instrument systems, analyze temperature data, and support system qualification efforts. The role spans early prototype testing through system validation and customer-facing support, offering broad technical exposure and long-term career growth potential.

Qualifications

Required

• Hands-on thermal testing experience on electronic systems
• Strong experience with thermocouples (placement, attachment, calibration)
• Experience with temperature sensors such as thermocouples and RTDs
• Thermal test plan and procedure development experience
• Data acquisition and temperature data analysis experience
• System-level and component-level lab testing
• Troubleshooting experience with thermal test setups and instrumentation
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams

• Thermo-mechanical testing experience
• Semiconductor, photonics, or embedded systems background
• Field or customer-site testing experience
• System qualification and validation exposure
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
• Customer-facing technical support experience
• Prototype build and system integration support experience
