Logistics and Inventory Coordinator – Construction Project Site

Location: Pueblo, CO

Placement Type: Contract (3 months)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.00–$28.00/hour


Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics and Inventory Coordinator to manage on-site material flow and inventory tracking for a large-scale construction project within an active 24-hour distribution center. This role is critical to ensuring equipment deliveries are received, staged, tracked, and available to installation teams on schedule in a fast-paced, space-constrained environment.

This position requires strong organizational skills, confident Excel and data entry abilities, and effective communication with customer security and internal construction teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all equipment deliveries with customer security and internal installation teams
  • Receive material and communicate arrival details for site security clearance
  • Stage equipment in an organized manner to support 24-hour operations
  • Take inventory of all delivered materials and verify against expected shipments
  • Inspect equipment for damage during unloading and escalate issues as needed
  • Track incoming materials using Excel spreadsheets to ensure project readiness
  • Notify customers of incoming truck deliveries and schedule updates
  • Organize and maintain a tight laydown area for conveyor equipment and control devices
  • Input and maintain accurate inventory data in Excel-based tracking systems
  • Support site managers during peak installation periods through effective material planning
  • Plan ahead several days (up to 10 days) to anticipate inventory and staging needs
  • Count, label, and track items systematically to maintain accurate records
  • Use Microsoft Office tools for communication and reporting
  • Coordinate or operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required
  • Work independently on-site while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics coordination, shipping/receiving, or inventory control
  • Strong data entry skills with hands-on Excel experience
  • Ability to confidently navigate and manage spreadsheets
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail with item counting and inventory tracking
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and internal teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage limited space efficiently
  • Self-starter capable of working independently
  • Ability to plan beyond immediate tasks and anticipate upcoming needs
  • OSHA 10 certification required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering or technical background or degree
  • Construction site or construction management experience
  • Experience in a general foreman, superintendent, or leadership-level role
  • Exposure to conveyor systems or automated logistics environments
  • Experience in active distribution centers or 24-hour operations
  • Forklift experience or coordination
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
