Technical Sales Representative

The Technical Sales Representative will provide the necessary support by phone or email to new and existing customers in the industrial sector (Canada and United States). He or she offers technical support and provides the necessary information to customers and makes the necessary follow-ups with the departments concerned. The Technical Sales Representative will make quotations and follow up with the customers. He or she ensures that all measures are taken to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.

Customer Request Management:

  • Receive, analyze, and respond to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
  • Provide accurate technical and commercial information about the products, their use, and solutions tailored to the specific needs of customers.

Quotation and Order Processing:

  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations based on customer specifications and established commercial terms.
  • Ensure prompt handling of orders and their transmission to the production department and relevant departments for smooth execution.

Sales Follow-Up:

  • Monitor ongoing orders and provide post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer feedback and quickly resolve any issues or questions about delivered products.

Customer Relationship Development:

  • Maintain a trusting relationship with existing customers by offering quality customer service and attentive listening to their needs.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on customer needs.

Coordination with Sales and Technical Teams:

  • Work closely with the external sales team to align commercial objectives and optimize team performance.
  • Collaborate with the technical department to provide customized solutions to customers when specific specifications are requested.

Market and Product Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and technological developments in the industrial sector.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience in sales or customer service;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word);
  • Relevant experience in technical functions (an asset);
  • Knowledge of SalesForce software (an asset).
