The Technical Instructor at our client is responsible for inspiring and training future watchmaking professionals both locally and nationally. This role combines technical expertise in watchmaking with a passion for teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring. The instructor conducts internal and external training, develops educational content, and supports various special projects. Frequent travel may be required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classroom and bench training sessions for employees and retailer staff.
  • Deliver clear, engaging lessons that align with the company's curriculum and culture.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of training materials and methods across locations.
  • Support the ongoing development of learning programs and foster a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
  • Regularly communicate learner progress with managers and HR.
  • Stay updated and leverage the latest tools and methods in technical education.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Watchmaking principles and techniques
  • Adult learning theory, curriculum development, and assessment
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant computer and safety skills (including OSHA compliance)

Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • Degree/certification from an accredited watchmaking school (no prior training experience required)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
