US Technical Director — Data & AI

Role Summary
Lead the US technical and commercial growth strategy for Data & AI services at Jade Business Services. This role will own client delivery, solution architecture, account expansion, and new business development across Energy & Utilities clients in the US market. The individual will operate as a senior client-facing leader and directly own responsibilities currently managed by the COO.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow strategic client relationships across Energy & Utilities accounts
- Drive AI and Data solution consulting engagements from discovery through delivery
- Architect and evaluate enterprise AI, GenAI, LLM, and data platform solutions
- Identify whitespace opportunities and expand existing client accounts
- Lead proposal shaping, solution positioning, and commercial negotiations
- Engage directly with CIOs, CDOs, VPs, and executive stakeholders
- Partner with delivery teams to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction
- Support new logo acquisition and market expansion initiatives in the US
- Represent JBS in executive discussions, industry meetings, and client workshops
Mandatory Requirements (All Required — No Exceptions)
Experience
- 14+ years of overall technology experience
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior client-facing leadership role
Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Agentic AI systems
- Generative AI and LLM architectures
- Data Engineering and Data Platforms
- AI solution architecture and enterprise-scale implementations
Candidate must be capable of:
- Evaluating technical feasibility
- Designing enterprise solutions
- Leading architecture discussions
- Guiding delivery teams technically
Domain Expertise
Must have strong Energy or Utilities industry experience in at least one of the following:
- Power Generation
- Midstream
- Energy Trading
- Grid / Transmission
- Retail Energy
One deep and credible engagement is acceptable if the expertise is genuine and substantial.
Commercial & Client Leadership
- Proven experience growing existing accounts commercially
- Demonstrated success identifying expansion opportunities and closing deals
- Experience independently owning executive-level client relationships
- Direct engagement with CIO, CDO, VP, or equivalent leadership stakeholders
Location
- Must be based in Houston, Texas
- In-person client engagement is a critical requirement for this role
Preferred Qualifications
- US Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
- Exceptional industry experience may substitute for advanced education
