Team Lead-Registration

Position: Team Lead – Registration Specialist (Onsite)- Requires CMAA certification
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift. No weekends or holidays.
Location: North Hospital – Riley Pediatrics MOB (Multi-Specialty)

• Virtual New Hire Orientation via Teams
• 5-day Registration & Passport Training (virtual)
• Self-guided learning and shadowing

• Provide functional guidance to support staff and perform registration duties.
• Precept team members as requested by leadership.
• Conduct monthly rounding and attend team meetings.
• Coach, mentor, and develop the Registration team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Rapid Improvement Events.

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of registration policies and procedures.
• Be flexible, compassionate, and proactive in problem-solving.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience
• Requires CMAA certification. *Those in the Team Lead - Registration Specialist role at time of transition will be given priority to the certification Exam cohorts.  They must successfully complete the certification exam (achieve certification) within one year of the on-set of career ladder implementation.  Failure to achieve certification may result in a move to the appropriate Registration Specialist role with the potential of a pay decrease. 
• Completion of Foundation of Leadership within 6 months or Emerging Leaders Program.

• Coding experience (ICD-10, CPT).
• Strong knowledge of registration processes and insurance interpretation.
