Portsmouth Music and Arts Center is seeking an experienced piano teaching artist to build and sustain a private lesson studio on the Seacoast.
The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and genuine enthusiasm for teaching, able to guide a beginner through their first pieces and mentor an advanced student through a college or conservatory audition. You'll work with youth ages 5–18 and adult learners, cultivating long-term relationships that grow a thriving studio.
This is primarily an onsite role at our Portsmouth, NH building, with a minimum commitment of two days per week and room to expand.
Reporting to the Director of Education, duties are as follows:
Bachelor of Music in piano performance or music education preferred. Strong background in performance and knowledge of preparing piano students for a career in music also desired.
The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
