Our QSPTG legal recruiting department is engaged in a search on behalf of one of the top law firms in the country for a Tax Attorney to join its highly regarded tax practice.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside leading professionals, advising sophisticated clients on complex domestic and international tax matters within a premier legal environment.

Position Overview

The firm is seeking a Tax Attorney with strong technical expertise and a solid foundation in tax law. Candidates with deeper experience are strongly preferred, though individuals with 3 to 4 years of meaningful tax experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on federal, state, and international tax matters
• Structure and analyze transactions with tax implications
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
• Conduct tax research and provide strategic guidance to clients
• Collaborate with cross functional legal teams on complex matters

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in good standing
• 3+ years of tax law experience, with preference for 5 to 10+ years
• Strong technical knowledge of tax law and transactional experience
• CPA designation highly preferred but not required

Preferred Background

• Experience at a large law firm or major CPA firm
• CPA licensed attorneys especially encouraged to apply
• Candidates currently in accounting firms seeking to transition into a traditional law firm environment are welcome
